Privacy policy

Short version: I only ask for your email address, I use it to send you what you signed up for, and you can leave at any time.

Who is responsible

What I collect and why

  • Your email address, when you sign up for The Side Hustle Starter. I use it to send you the five course emails and, after that, my weekly letter. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you give by signing up.
  • Emails you send me, so I can answer them. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in replying (art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Technical data such as your IP address and browser type, processed by my hosting provider to deliver this website and protect it against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. The sign-up form sends your email address through my hosting provider, Cloudflare, to my email provider, Sender.

My emails are sent through Sender, which records whether an email is opened and which links are clicked. I use that only to see which emails are useful. Most email apps let you block this by turning off remote images.

Who processes your data for me

  • Sender (UAB Sender.lt, Lithuania): email list and sending.
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States): hosting, domain and email forwarding.
  • Google / Gmail (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC): emails sent to my contact and business addresses are forwarded to my personal Gmail inbox.

Sender is based in the European Union. Cloudflare and Google are based in the United States; transfers of your data to them are covered by the safeguards they offer under the GDPR, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. I never sell your data or share it with anyone else.

How long I keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. After you unsubscribe, I remove your address from my list within 30 days, unless you ask for it sooner. Emails you send me are kept as long as needed to deal with your question.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email; that does not affect what happened before. Write to contact@gabiche.com and I will answer within one month.

If you think I am handling your data wrongly, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: dataprotectionauthority.be.

Children

The course and newsletter are meant for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
